Day 1 Arrival in Skopje (20 km) (D)
Pick up from Skopje airport. Accommodation in a hotel in Skopje. Orientation walk and time on your leisure. Welcoming dinner in a national restaurant. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 2 Skopje – Canyon Matka – Vodno – Skopje (40 km) (B, L)
Breakfast. We will visit one of the most beautiful canyons in Europe - Matka, with the river Treska. We will have a lunch break in a restaurant on the bank of the river, possibly river trout, and by small boats set sail 6 km upstream to visit the cave Vrelo, full of cave decorations, like stalactites and stalagmites. After that, we drive up to the close mountain Vodno to visit the Millennium Cross using cable cars, which will offer us a magnificent view of the whole Skopje. After that, have some free time for individual activities. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 3 Skopje – Mavrovo – Vevchani – Ohrid (220 km) (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. We are driving toward the national park Mavrovo (95 km). We will visit the cave Sharkova Dupka and have the chance to stroll through the national park. Lunch in a restaurant. We will travel through the canyon on the river Radika and stop near the Vevchani springs (95 km). There we will walk through the village Vevchani. Transfer to Ohrid (30 km). Accommodation in a hotel. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 4 Ohrid – St. Naum – Ohrid (50 km) (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Boat trip to the unique reconstructed prehistoric settlement on water from the bronze age and most visited site in Macedonia, Bay of Bones. Explanation by professional curator. We continue sailing to the extraordinary monument of nature - lake springs and the monastery of St. Naum from the 9th century. Lunch in the restaurant near the springs. Free time. Sailing back to the town. Dinner in a restaurant. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 5 Ohrid – Prespa Lake – island Golem grad – Bitola (110 km) (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. We drive through the national park Galichica and we will stop a few times to take photos of the Ohrid Lake and the Prespa Lake. We will arrive in the village of Stenje (55 km) and have lunch. We will drive with little boats toward the only Macedonian island Golem grad. We will visit the island and stroll a little bit. After that, we will come back with little boats. Transfer to the city of consuls - Bitola (55 km) and accommodate in a hotel outside the city in the national park Pelister. Dinner. Overnight.
Day 6 Bitola (15 km) (B, L)
Breakfast. We will hike through the national park Pelister and visit the two small lakes, called Pelister’s eyes. Lunch. In the afternoon free time for leisure through Bitola. Overnight.
Day 7 Bitola – Prilep – Dojran – Strumica (235 km) (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. We will transfer to the nearby town Prilep (45 km), where we will see the fortress - Marko’s towers and some natural mountain carst forms. After that, we will continue our tour to Dojran (150 km) and the Dojran lake. Lunch in a local fish restaurant. You will have an opportunity for a city stroll or swimming (depends on the season and weather conditions). We will have transfer to the biggest town in southeast Macedonia – Strumica (40 km). In the evening we will have dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in a hotel in Strumica.
Day 8 Strumica – Koleshino – Mokrino – Smolare – Strumica (60 km) (B, L, D)
After breakfast, we will continue our tour. The next stops are a few waterfalls and natural springs, all based on the mountain Belasica. The first stop is the beautiful Koleshino waterfall (17 meters high). After that, we will visit Mokrino’s spring, an area with beautiful nature, very popular among the locals. After visits to these two sites, we will have a break and lunch in a local restaurant. The end of today’s program is the highest waterfall in Macedonia (39 meters). We will stroll through 300 steps to have a chance to see it and take some photos. Free time. Dinner in a local restaurant, in Strumica. Overnight.
Day 9 Strumica – Berovo (55 km) (B, L)
Breakfast at the hotel. The next place for visit will be the region of Berovo, or as we call it "Our Switzerland", because of the mountain region. We will visit the artificial lake – Berovo in the mountain Maleshevo. After that, we will go for a home-hosted meal lunch in a tea-hut. Free afternoon. Overnight in a hotel in Berovo.
Day 10 Berovo – Kratovo – Skopje (200 km) (B, L, D)
Breakfast at the hotel. We will drive to Kratovo (110 km), a little town with a medieval look. We will see the town, erected on a volcano crater. Also, we will see carst figures with human forms in Kuklice. Lunch. We will continue to Skopje (90 km), accommodate in a hotel and have a farewell dinner in a restaurant. Overnight.
Day 10 Skopje (B)
Breakfast at the hotel. Free time. Driving to the Skopje International Airport, about 40 minutes from the hotel.
