Explore former Yugoslavia and 7 countries that came out of the once famous federation! Meet different cultures and religions, enjoy the scenery from high mountains, to lowlands, lakes and rivers. Have coffee in 7 different capitals! On this trip, we will visit national parks and few UNESCO sites.
Join trip in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. Orientation walk and first group dinner.
Walk through the central streets of Ljubljana, full of art, culture and music and neoclassic architecture.
Visit Lake Bled. In the afternoon, we travel to Croatia’s capital Zagreb, including orientation walk.
Walking tour of Zagreb. Today we drive towards the Plitvice National Park and admire this natural attraction.
Travel to the mountainous Bosnia and Herzegovina and its capital, Sarajevo. Tonight, we have the chance to taste the inevitable sweet baklava, tulumba, cadaif, and other sweet desserts.
Day tour of Mostar, a city that was held under siege in the nineties, during the Bosnian war. The famous landmark, Stari Most (The Old Bridge), is on our list today.
Two medieval coastal towns and cities of UNESCO Dubrovnik (CRO) and Kotor (MNE). We walk around the ancient walls. Enjoy driving on the Adriatic highway.
Stop in the Montenegrin capital of Podgorica to see the central square and the old Clock Tower. Long drive to enter Serbia and its capital, Belgrade.
Visit Belgrade Fortress and Kalemegdan Park. We go to Tito's Mausoleum and the Royal Palace. A group dinner in the famous Belgrade district of Skadarlija.
A day trip to the Serbian region of Vojvodina and the city of Novi Sad. We visit the famous Petrovaradin Fortress, covering history from the Roman, Greek and Byzantine period.
Heading to Macedonia and its capital Skopje. Upon the arrival, we have a short orientation city walk.
We start with Skopje city tour, the hometown of Mother Theresa. We spend the second part of the day in Matka Canyon, visiting one of its numerous caves.
On this day trip, we will explore Prishtina, the capital of one of the youngest European countries, Kosovo, with its city’s attractions.
We drive to Macedonia’s pearl, the ancient city of Ohrid and its lake, two UNESCO sites. Today we have perhaps the most scenic route, following valleys and rivers, observing an old Macedonian architecture.
We admire the beauty of the city of Ohrid and its lake, one of the oldest in the world. This is a city of 365 medieval churches and monasteries. The trip includes little boats and a big boat ride to the pre-historical settlement on water.
Back to Skopje and free time for shopping in some of the few modern city malls.
